Noor or Bashar?

LETTER NO.12

Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem(In the name of ALLAH, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful).

May the Peace and Blessings of ALLAH be upon the Imaam of all Prophets, Imaam of the Ummah, Imaam of Mujahideen, our Holy Prophet-Muhammad (saws), and on those who follow his (saws) guidance till the Day of Judgement.

FROM:- ABU HAFS
TO      :- MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS

ASSALAMU ALAIKUM WA RAHMATULLAHI WA BARAKATAHU

Alhamdulillah, I have started my 12th letter and this was possible only by the help of ALLAH. I thank ALLAH for all the favours He has done to me. As you all know by now that we are discussing some important teachings of ISLAM, inshaALLAH in this letter also we will learn an important aspect of Aqeedah (Belief). The topic is was the Prophet(saws) ‘Noor’(Light) or ‘Bashar’(Human)?

Muhammad(saws), ‘Noor’ or ‘Bashar’? : If we take the answer from any other source then we might get a lot of answers, but in the matter of ISLAM, then only 2 sources are to be seen and that is QUR’AN and HADEETH. Then only we will be on the straight path. If not then we will end up making decisions on our own by using our weak mind, and get misguided. May ALLAH save all of us from using our mind in ISLAMIC matters, and help us and guide us to come back to the 2 main sources QUR’AN and HADEETH, aameen.
Qur’anic Proof:
ALLAH says:
“Say (O Muhammad[saws]): I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your Ilah(Deity, God) is One Ilah(Deity, God, i,e.-ALLAH). So whoever hopes for the righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.”(surah-18, verse-110)
Very clear is the verse in saying that Muhammad(saws) was a human (Bashar) and not Noor(Light).

“Say (O Muhammad[saws]): ‘I am only a human being like you…….”(surah-41, verse-6)
Same is the case in this verse also. No need to explain further.

A Messenger among themselves(the people of Makkah):
ALLAH says:
“HE it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger(Muhammad[saws]) from among themselves,……..” (surah-62, verse-2)
This means that Muhammad(saws) was from the people and like them, which proves that he(saws) was a Human(Bashar), because the people were human and not light.

“Indeed ALLAH conferred a great favour on the believers when He sent among them a Messenger (Muhammad[saws]) from among themselves,……..” (surah-3, verse-164)
Again ALLAH says He sent a Messenger, and i,e. Muhammad(saws) to the people among themselves. This is again proven that what the people were the Prophet(saws) was also the same. And that is they all were Human and so was the Prophet(saws).

Proof from Hadeeth:
Salim, the freed slave of Nasriyyin, said: “I heard Abu Huraira (raa) as saying that he heard ALLAH’s Messenger (saws) as saying: “O ALLAH! Muhammad is a human being. I loose my temper just as human beings do, and I have held a covenant with you which you will not break: For a believer whom I give any trouble or invoke curse or beat, make that an expiation his nearness to you on the Day of Judgement.” (Saheeh Muslim, vol-4,no-6293)

Well now it is the Prophet (saws) himself telling that I am a ‘Human Being’. Do we need to clarify more?
Umm Salamah reported ALLAH’s Messenger (saws) as saying: “I am only a human being, and you bring your disputes to me, some perhaps more eloquent in their plea than others, so that I give judgement on their behalf according to what I hear from them. Therefore, whatever I decide for anyone which by right belongs to his brother, he must not take anything, for I am granting him only a portion of hell.” (Abu Dawood 3:3576)

It is also clear from this hadeeth that the Prophet(saws) himself said that he was a ‘Human Being’.
The Prophet(saws) was not an angel also.
ALLAH says
“And they say: ‘Why does this Messneger(Muhammad[saws]) eat food, and walk about in markets (as we)? Why is not an angel sent down to him to be a warner with him?’” (surah-25, verse-7)

This means that he(saws) was not an angel, or else why did the people say why is not an angel sent along with him. If he(saws) was an angel himself then why did they want an angel?

Some people give a narration which they attribute to the Propeht(saws) that ALLAH said that HE created the Prophet(saws) with NOOR(Light). And they say this narration is in Mussanaf Abdur Razzak(Hadeeth Book). To let you all know that this narration is not at all in that book, AND THIS IS A BIG LIE. A LIE ATTRIBUTED TO PROPHET(saws). It is such a shame that people have done so much wrong just to prove what their minds believe and what their Groups believe. Whereas, the Qur’an and Hadeeth has clearly proved that the Prophet(saws) was a ‘Human Being’ and not ‘Noor’.
Moreover, if someone feels that by saying the Prophet (saws) as a human we are insulting him, then that person is wrong. As a human he (saws) is more respected and have a high honor because just see the Mai’raj event. The Prophet (saws) was taken to the seven heavens by the angel Jibraeel(as). And after a point the angel Jibraeel(as) told the Prophet(saws) that he(Jibraeel) could not go further as his limit was their only and told the Prophet(saws) to go alone. This means that a Human is in all terms better than an angel, and the best of creation is mankind and not any other creation. And the best of mankind is the Prophet (saws). So, saying the Prophet (saws) to be a Human, is an insult? or giving him respect? Infact it is giving him(saws) respect.

I pray to ALLAH to guide us to the truth and save us from false beliefs and make us firm on the way of the Prophet(saws), and his Sahaba(raa), aameen.

ILM E GHAIB

 LETTER NO.11

Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem (In the name of ALLAH, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful).
May the Peace and Blessings of ALLAH be upon the Imaam of all Prophets, Imaam of the Ummah, Imaam of Mujahideen, our Holy Prophet-Muhammad (saws), and on those who follow his (saws) guidance till the Day of Judgement.

FROM:- ABU HAFS
TO      :- MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS

ASSALAMU ALAIKUM WA RAHMATULLAHI WA BARAKATAHU

All praise is to ALLAH for guiding me and helping me in this effort. Alhamdulillah this is my 11th letter and I hope to continue this, inshaALLAH. In this letter we will be discussing about another important topic and that is Ilm-e-Ghaib (Knowledge of the unseen). InshaALLAH in this letter we will know that who is Aalim-ul-Ghaib (Knower of the seen) and who is not, in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah.

ILM-E-GHAIB: The knowledge of the hidden/unseen is with ALLAH alone. No one knows about the hidden/unseen except ALLAH. We all must believe in this and have complete faith that only ALLAH knows the unseen.
ALLAH says:
“With HIM are the keys to the unseen and none knows it except HIM.” (surah-6, verse-59)

“Say: None in the heavens or earth knows the unseen except ALLAH.” (surah-27, verse-65)

In both the verses ALLAH says ‘NONE’ knows the unseen except HIM(ALLAH), then we have to believe in it completely and if we feel that others know the unseen then it is as if we have disbelieved in what ALLAH said.
‘None’ includes everyone, be it a Prophet, Angel, Jinn, Saint, Wali or anyone.
It is clear with only these verses that only ALLAH knows the unseen. But some people believe that Prophet Muhammad(saws) also knows the unseen/hidden. And they say how did the Prophet(saws) tell about future events which will be before the Day of Judgement? How did he(saws) tell about certain Sahaba that they will enter Paradise? And such things. First of all, that which the Prophet(saws) has said was told by ALLAH Himself and not everything was told to the Prophet(saws). Some things which ALLAH wanted, HE told it to His Prophet. And the Prophet(saws) told it to the Sahaba and they to their students and now we all know it. Then how is it a HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE? It is become known. We all know about it or not?
Moreover ALLAH says:
“Nor does he(Prophet[saws]) of (his own) desire. It is only a Revelation revealed.” (surah-53, verse-3,4)
Well ALLAH says that the Prophet(saws) does not speak of his own, but it is a Revelation, which means that whatever he(saws) has told regarding future events and some unseen things then it is ALLAH who made him know it or else the Prophet(saws) himself has no power or knowledge to know the hidden or unseen.
ALLAH says:
“Say (O Muhammad (saws)): “I possess no power over benefit or hurt to myself except as ALLAH wills. If I had the knowledge of the Ghaib(Unseen), I should have secured for myself an abundance of wealth, and no evil should have touched me. I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings unto people who believe.” (surah-7, verse-188)

This verse is clear and it tells us point blank that Prophet (saws) did not have the knowledge of Ghaib.

Rasoolullah (saws) had once sent 70 of his companions to preach Islam to a certain tribe. The tribe turned hostile and killed all of them only left one small Sahaba to convey this to Rasoolullah (saws). If Rasoolullah (saws) had Ilm e Ghaib why did he send his Sahaba there. This means that even while having the knowledge of Ghaib that the 70 Sahaba might be killed, the Prophet(saws) sent them and he(saws) then took it easy or what?
Aisha (raa) allegation. This is the allegation and slander on the character of the Pure Mother of Believers, Aisha (raa). The hypocrites had accused her. And the Prophet (saws) was so much tense, worried and upset that he(saws) did not know what was the real story. He(saws) suffered for almost a month and sent Aisha(raa) to her house. Then ALLAH revealed the purity of Aisha (raa), then only the Prophet(saws) got relaxed. If the Prophet (saws) had the knowledge of Ghaib then why was he(saws) worried and tense for one month?
Aasim ibn Saabit (raa) “O ALLAH inform our Prophet about our state.” While being martyred in 4 AH (Saheeh Bukhari, 4:281)
The Sahabi prayed to ALLAH to inform the Prophet(saws) about their state, why did he pray to ALLAH if the Prophet(saws) had the knowledge of Ghaib?

(Saheeh Bukhari 8 : 585 )   you do not know what innovations they introduced after you.” This words will be said to the Prophet (saws) at the Lake-Fount (Haud e Kauthar), because all the followers will come to drink from the Lake-Fount but some people will be stopped and a barrier will be placed between them and the Prophet(saws). When the Prophet (saws) will say that they are his followers then this words will be said to him(saws). That these people had introduced innovations and thus the barrier placed and they had turned apostates. If the Prophet(saws) knew about Ghaib, the why did he(saws) not know that the people had started innovations and why were the words said to him(saws)?
And there are a lot of such examples but if we give here it will become quite long.
As for some of the stories of other Prophets or other such things then ALLAH has said about it also.

ALLAH says:
“Such is one of the stories of the unseen, which we reveal by inspiration unto you: nor were you (present) with them when they concerted their plans together .....” (surah-12, verse-102)
“This is part of the tidings of the unseen which we reveal unto you by inspiration you were not with them when they cast lots with arrows as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary: Nor were you with them when they disputed their point.” (surah-3, verse-44)
“Such are some of the stories of the unseen which we have revealed unto you before this neither you nor your people knew them.” (surah-11, verse-49)
Now it has been clear that the Prophet (saws) did not have Ilm-e-Ghaib. This is the pure Aqeedah of those who follow Qur’an and Sunnah (the way Sahaba followed and not on their own way or the way of their scholars).
When it is proved that the Prophet(saws) did not have Ilm-e-Ghaib, then how can a Saint, Wali or any other person have it?
By the grace of ALLAH this letter has been completed. I pray to ALLAH to save us from having wrong Aqeedah and follow the way of Sahaba, aameen.

WHERE IS ALLAH?

LETTER NO.10

Alhamdulillah, we are into our 10th letter. And it was by the grace and help of ALLAH that I have started this one. ALLAH guides whom HE wills. In this letter we will be discussing a very important topic. If anyone does not know the correct teachings about it then it might lead him to a very dangerous belief and to evil. The topic is ‘Where is ALLAH’?
WHERE IS ALLAH?  It seems to be an easy question, but it is one of the most important one, as it is the Aqeedah(Belief). If you ask people then you will get different answers. InshaALLAH, we will be giving the answer from the Qur’an, Hadeeth, Prophets, Sahaba and Imaam.
Please read it carefully. May ALLAH open our heart and mind to accept the truth, aameen.

Proof from QUR’AN:
ALLAH says:
“HE it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over (Istawa) the Throne(in a manner that suits HIS Majesty). HE knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, and what descends from the heavens and what ascends thereto. And HE is with you(by HIS knowledge) wherever you may be. And ALLAH is the All-Seer of what you do.”
(surah-57, verse-4)

It is clearly mentioned in this verse that ALLAH rose over the Throne(ARSH). And ALLAH says HE knows each and everything in the heavens and the earth, HE is with all of us through HIS knowledge which covers everything. As ALLAH says in the last part, ‘And ALLAH is the All-Seer of what you do.’ We cannot escape from ALLAH, as His knowledge is everywhere.
In another verse it is straight that ALLAH is on ARSH(Throne).
ALLAH says:
“The Most Gracious(ALLAH) rose over(Istawa) the  Throne(ARSH)  (in a manner that suits HIM).” (surah-20, verse-5)
This verse is straight in telling that ALLAH is above the ARSH, which is above the heavens
ALLAH says:
“They fear their Rubb above them.” (surah-16,verse-50)
This verse refers to the angels who are above us, and above them is our Rubb, the Blessed, the Exalted. Lest anyone be confused, Allaah confirms in this verse that He is above the angels who are the residents of the heavens:
“The Compassionate has mounted the 'Arsh.” (surah-20, verse-5)

“And verily, your Rubb is Allaah who created the heaven and earth in six days, and then mounted the 'Arsh.” (surah-7, verse-54)

“Are you sure that He Who is Above the heaven will not cleave the earth beneath you? Or are you sure that He Who is above the heaven will not send against you a stone-charged hurricane.” (surah-67, verse-17,18)

The renowned exegetes and commentators are agreed that the One Who is above the heaven is none but ALLAH Who has mounted His ARSH and is above it in the manner which suits His Majesty.
ALLAH says: “O, Issa (Jesus)! I shall cause you to die, and raise you up to Me.” (surah-3, verse-55)

Since ALLAH addressed Isa (as) saying: "I will raise you up to Me", what would those who believe that ALLAH is everywhere answer when they are asked: "Where is Isa (as) now?" They would say either Isa (as) is everywhere, or he is in heaven. If they claim that Isa (as) is everywhere, they would apostatize as a result of their equating Isa (as) with ALLAH in accordance with their claim that ALLAH is everywhere. A claim which resembles the Christians' myth of god incarnate. But if they say, "Isa (as) is in the heaven," they would admit that ALLAH did raise Isa (as) up to the heaven, and that ALLAH is above the heavens.
“The month of Ramadhan in which was revealed the Qur’an…..” (surah-2, verse-185)

ALLAH says ‘unzila’(revealed). Unzil, nazil, anzal all means to get down. When does a thing gets revealed or comes down? The answer is, if it is on a high place. So ALLAH is above the heavens on ARSH(Throne), so the Qur’an was revealed down on the earth.
Same is the case in this verse also,
ALLAH says:
“Verily, We have sent it (Qur’an) down in the night of Al-Qadr(Decree).” (surah-97, verse-1)
It is again said that ALLAH had sent down the Qur’an, because ALLAH is above the heavens.

Proof from HADEETH:
1.Mu’aawiyah ibn al-Hakam(raa) said: “I had a servant girl who used to tend sheep in the area of Mount Uhud, near a place called al-Jawwaareeyah. One day I came to see them only to find that a wolf had made off with a sheep from her flock. Since I, like the rest of Aadam’s(as) descendants, am prone to do regrettable acts, I gave her a terrible slap in her face. When I came to ALLAH’s Messenger(saws) with the story, he(saws) considered it a grave thing for me to have done. I said , ‘O Messenger of ALLAH(saws) couldn’t I free her? He(saws) replied, ‘Bring her to me,’ so I bought her. He(saws) then asked her, ‘Where is ALLAH?’ and she replied, ‘Above the sky’. Then He(saws) asked her, ‘Who am I?’ and she replied, ‘You are ALLAH’s Messenger(saws).’ So he(saws) said, ‘Free her, for verily she is a true believer.’” (Saheeh Muslim, vol-1, no-1094. Eng.Trans)

Please note the question which our Holy Prophet(saws) asked, ‘Where is ALLAH?’ This is our topic. And please note the answer, ‘Above the sky’. So, the one who knows more than anyone about ALLAH, that is, ALLAH Messenger(saws) himself says that she was a true believer. He(saws) not only said that she gave a correct answer, but said that she was a true believer. After 2 questions’ correct answer he(saws) called her a true believer. If someone does not agree that ALLAH is above the sky on ARSH, then the person is not a true believer. This is what Prophet(saws) said for saying that ALLAH is above the sky on ARSH, then the person is not a true believer. This is what Prophet(saws) said for saying that ALLAH is above the sky. It is the true belief, the belief of Messenger of ALLAH(saws) and Sahaba(raa).

2. Abu Huraira(raa) reported that the Prophet(saws) said: “When ALLAH completed creation, HE wrote in a Book(which HE kept) with HIM above HIS Throne(Arsh), ‘Verily My mercy will precede my anger.’” (Saheeh Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim)

The Book mentioned in this hadeeth is kept with ALLAH above HIS Throne(Arsh). This means HE is above the Throne (Arsh). It is very clear if you open your mind and read. It does not need detail explanation as it is a clear hadeeth.

3. Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: “Our Rubb, the Blessed, the Exalted, descends to the lowest heaven every night, during the last third of the night, and says: ‘Anyone calls Me, I will respond to him? Is there anyone asking for anything? I will give it to him? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, I will forgive him?’” (Saheeh Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim)

The words of the Prophet (SAW): 'Our Rubb, the Blessed, the Exalted, descends to the lowest heaven', clearly indicate the essential Highness or Loftiness of ALLAH, the Exalted. Were ALLAH to exist everywhere, there would be no need for the Prophet (SAW) who knew ALLAH best, to say, 'ALLAH descends', nor would there be a reason to distinguish one portion of the night from another. There is only one answer to this: ALLAH, the Blessed, the Exalted, is above the seven heavens, and above the great 'ARSH.
4. Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: “ALLAH will descend to His slaves on the Day of Resurrection.” (at-Tirmidhi and others)

It is the Day when ALLAH will come down to pass His judgment.
5. Narrated Abu Huraira(raa) that  Prophet Muhammad(saws) said: “(A group of) angels stay with you at night and (another group of) angels by daytime, and both groups gather at the time of  ‘Asr(evening) and Fajr(dawn) prayers. Then those angels who have stayed with you over night, ascend (to Heaven) and ALLAH asks them (about you) though HE(ALLAH) knows all about you….” (Saheeh Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim, an-Nasai)

The angels ascend to the Heavens and ALLAH asks them, and it is because ALLAH is above the Heavens on ARSH, that is why HE asks them there.
6. The Prophet of ALLAH(saws) said: “And the Throne(ARSH) is above the water and ALLAH is above the Throne(ARSH), and HE knows on what you are.” (Abu Dawood, it was said to be a hasan hadeeth by ibn-Taimiyah in his book Al-Aqeedat-il-Wasitiyah)

No need to explain this hadeeth, it is very clear in explaining that ALLAH is above the ARSH.
7. Prophet Muhammad(saws) taught the sick to pray,
“Our Lord ALLAH who is above the heavens, may Your name be Holy……” (Abu Dawood)                                                                                                                                                    Note what the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) taught. He(saw) mentions about our Lord and also confirms it that who is above the Heavens. This again proves that the Prophet(saws) believed that ALLAH is above the Heavens, on ARSH. If we follow the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) we will inshaALLAH go to Heaven and if not(may ALLAH save us) then BEWARE OF THE FIRE OF HELL.
ALLAH says:
“And whatever the Messenger has given you, take.” (surah-59, verse-7)
“Whoever obeys the Messenger has obeyed ALLAH.” (surah-4, verse-80)
Proof from the AQEEEDAH of the SAHABA:
Zainab(raa), the wife of the Prophet (saws), used to claim excellence over the rest of his wives by telling them, ‘It is only your parents who gave you in marriage to the Prophet (saws), while it is ALLAH Who gave me in marriage to him from above the seven heavens.'’ (Saheeh Bukhari)

In another narration, she said to the Prophet (SAW), ‘It is the Rahmaan, the Merciful, Who married me to you from above His 'Arsh.’
O slaves of ALLAH! Why over seven heavens did ALLAH marry them? It is only because ALLAH is over the seven heavens.
In his speech after the death of the Prophet (saws), Abu Bakr as-Saddiq said: "He who was worshipping Muhammed (saws), (let him know that) Muhammed is dead, and he who was worshipping ALLAH, (let him know that) ALLAH is above the heaven Ever-Living, never dies'." (Saheeh Bukhari)

The best companion of the Prophet(saws), Abu Bakr(raa) also had the same belief that ALLAH is above the heavens on ARSH.
Ibn Abbas, may ALLAH be pleased with him, said to Aa'ishah, the wife of the Messenger of ALLAH (saws) when she was on her death bed: “Of all his wives, you were the most beloved to the Messenger of ALLAH (saws), and he used to live only with the pure. ALLAH, the Exalted sent down your exoneration from above the seven heavens which was brought down by Jibraeel(as). There is not a single masjid of the masajid of ALLAH but the verses of your exoneration are recited in it day and night.”
The exoneration which ALLAH sent down was from above the seven heavens as Ibn Abbas(raa) said and he(raa) too believed  in it.
Proof from MA’IRAJ and ISRA:-
The Prophet (saws) reported his eventful journey from Makkah to Jerusalem (al-Mai’raj) and from there up to the heavens as follows:
Jibraeel took me up to the lowest heaven and requested its guards to open its gate. He was asked, 'Who is this?' He answered, 'Jibraeel.' 'Who is with you?' They inquired. 'Muhammed (saws)' He answered. They inquired. 'Has he been invited?' 'Yes'. Jibraeel replied. Then someone greeted saying, 'He is most welcome'. The Prophet (saws) continued, when the gate was opened, I entered and met Adam there. Jibraeel said to me, 'This is your father, greet him'. Adam greeted me back, saying: 'Welcome, pious son and pious Prophet'. Then Jibraeel ascended to the second heaven and requested its guards to open its gate.
The questioning that took place in the lowest heaven was repeated before the gate was opened. The Prophet (saws) described what he saw in every heaven, until finally he was taken up to the seventh heaven where obligatory prayers were prescribed to him (Saheeh Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim and others).
This authentic mutawatir(strongest type of authentic hadeeth) hadeeth speaks clearly in plain words and straightforward manner which is not liable to misconstruction or farfetched interpretations. The Prophet (saws) was taken up to his Rubb from one heaven above the other. The Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah believe that the Mai'raj was neither an illusion nor a vision, rather real and essential. Had ALLAH been everywhere, why would the Prophet (saws) be taken all the way up to the seventh heaven? ALLAH would have prescribed to him the Salaah on earth rather than in the seventh heaven.
Proof from the AQEEDAH of another PROPHET:
We will go through this verse:
“Pharaoh(Firaun) said, ‘O Haamaan! Build a lofty place for me that I may attain the ways. The ways of (reaching) the heavens for me to behold the God of Moses, for I certainly believe he is a liar….” (surah-40, verse-36,37)

Pharaoh wanted Haamaan to build a tall or lofty place so that he would reach the heavens and behold. Behold who? Behold the God of Moses(ALLAH). Why? Because Prophet Moses(as) must have said that ALLAH is above the heavens, and Pharaoh knew this from Moses(as). Now, wait for a while and read the verse carefully. Why did Pharaoh wanted a lofty(tall place)? Why to reach heavens? Answer is to behold the God of Moses. Why? The only simple answer is Pharaoh was informed that ALLAH(God of Moses) is above the heavens. Who was the informer or messenger? Answer is --- Prophet Moses(as). This is pure Aqeedah of all Prophets, even Prophet Moses(as).
Proof from the Aqeedah of some early Scholars:

Abu Haneefah:
Abu Muti' Al-Balkhi reported: “I asked Imam Abu Haneefah about a person who says, ‘I do not know whether my Rubb is, above the heavens or on earth?’ Abu Haneefah, may ALLAH grant him His mercy, said: ‘A person who makes such a statement becomes an apostate because ALLAH, the Exalted says, ‘The Merciful has ascended above the 'Arsh, and the 'Arsh of ALLAH is above His heavens’. I further asked Abu Haneefah, ‘What if such a person admits, ALLAH is above His 'Arsh, but exclaims, I do not know whether His 'Arsh is above the heavens or on earth’. Abu Haneefah responded: ‘If he denies that the 'Arsh is above the heavens, he is an apostate.’” (Sharhut-Tahawiyyah, p.288)

If the person apostatizes by saying that he did not know where is the 'Arsh of ALLAH, then by right a person who denies the Loftiness of ALLAH altogether is definitely worse than an apostate.

 Imam Malik:
Abdullah bin Nafi' reported: Malik bin Anas said: ‘ALLAH is above the heavens, but His knowledge encompasses everything. Nothing escapes His knowledge. (Abdullah bin Ahmad, as-Sunnah, and others)

Well it has been proved by various sources and that too all authentic ones that ALLAH is above ARSH.

Those who believe that ALLAH is everywhere base their argument on verses such as: “And He is Ilaah in the Heavens and He is Ilaah on the Earth!”

The term, 'Ilaah' is classical Arabic means, 'the worshipped'; thus the meaning of the above verse is, "It is He Who is worshipped in the heaven and worshipped on the earth". It would have been redundant were the verse to speak about the existence of ALLAH in the heaven and on the earth, for the term Ilaah' is an adjective of ALLAH, while the pronouns, 'He' in the verse is used in lieu of the name 'ALLAH', therefore, when the name 'ALLAH' replaces the pronoun 'He', we get the proper meaning of the verse: 'And it is ALLAH Who is worshipped in the heaven and on the earth'. But according to the deviated sect who consider the term, 'Ilaah' as 'ALLAH', we get the redundant meaning, 'And ALLAH is ALLAH in the heaven and ALLAH is on the earth,' a sentence which is grammatically, linguistically and logically incorrect.

Qatadah, a renowned exegete, interpreted this verse as: ‘He is worshipped in the heaven and on the earth’.
Imam al-Aajurri said: ‘al-Ilaah, is the worshipped. He is worshipped in the heaven as He is worshipped on the earth’.
One more verse they quote and that is: ALLAH says:   “Verily, We created man and know what is soul whispers, for We are closer to him than his jugular vein.” (suarh-50, verse-16)

They say that ALLAH is closer to us than even than jugular vein meaning ALLAH is everywhere. Whereas, the first important thing is neither did the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) interpreted it this way nor did the Sahaba. Morever read the verse you will see that ALLAH has said ‘We created man and know’ so ALLAH says in this regard that He is closer to us by his knowledge and not with self.     Can ALLAH be with all the people near their jugular veins? Even while a person is drinking alcohol, doing illegal sex, gambling, sitting in a toilet. Is ALLAH everywhere like clubs, temples, churches, places were pigs are present, were all illegal things are done?

ALLAH says that He is closer and it is not only for muslims then, because ALLAH says We created man and then He says that He is closer to them, which means all men and all people, not only muslims. Now, is ALLAH close to all men, like Hindus, Christians, Jews, Sikhs? Even while they are worshipping their gods in temples, churches, etc.

Closer to him means with knowledge. ALLAH’s knowledge is with each and everyone, but ALLAH is above the ARSH. For eg:- I am in Dubai and my brother is in London. I am very upset and call my brother. He says, ‘Don’t worry I am with you.’ Now tell me, Is my brother with me in Dubai or at his place in London? No, he is in London. I am with you means with help. Any verse which says that ALLAH is with us or close to us means with knowledge or help.
My Brothers and sisters, this is a big aspect of AQEEDAH(Belief). The belief that ALLAH is everywhere starts all kinds of misguided beliefs. Beware of it.

Keep an open mind. Repent to ALLAH if your belief was that ALLAH is not on ARSH.   May ALLAH forgive you, may ALLAH all muslims from these false belief and guide us to the correct belief of the Prophet(saws) and the Sahaba(raa), aameen.

BABRI MASJID

december -6 ke bhaarat ke itihaas mein yah ek andhera din
hai jab dinabhare lokatantr ki izzat lutee gaye, chaar sau   saal puraana, aitihaasik masjid raajaneetik aur gair   raajaneetik guton se dhvast ho gaya tha. yah bhaarat ke   itihaas ka din tha jab baabaree masjid bhavan   keaphan pattharon kesaath hajaaron tukade lokatantr, nyaay
aur dhaarmik sahishnuta theen. 6 disambar, 1992 ko, keval

ki aaj bhee bees laakh muslimon ke dil mein bhaarat mein
set ap karen baabaree masjid ka maamala desh mein   lokatantr aur kaanoon kee shakti ka ek bada sauda hai.

is desh mein, jahaan desh mein patana ke bade gahare laabh
the, vahaan log anushthaanon, muslimon ke aasapaas kam
baadhaon mein the is desh ne maanav samaanata ko
prabuddh kiya, shaanti aur ekata sikhaee, agar desh ke

aadhaar par shaasan kiya tha, desh mein hamaare bhaee
desh mein bahumat nahin the, any dharmon par kadam
uthaate the pooja nahin kee jaegee.

Gair Muslim Bhaiyon ko Apne Madaris aur Masajid aane ki Dawat Dijiye -

WHY I CONVERTED TO ISLAM - (SARAH JOSEPH) May 23, 2018

WHY I CONVERTED TO ISLAM - (SARAH JOSEPH) May 23, 2018
Q: Could you please tell us what made you convert to Islam and elaborate more on your first experiences (postive/negative) when you first become a Muslim.
A: I was a practicing Roman Catholic. I was a very serious teenager into social issues, politics and religion. My faith meant a lot to me and it impacted on my social conscience. My family were Liberals though and not religious. My Mother says that I was always religious - since I was tiny child.
When I was about 13 my brother embraced Islam to get married. I was very angry with him. I felt that he had sold his hereafter for a marriage. I was also very scared for him because Islam was so alien, and I had a lot of negative views about it. I had been brought up to never be prejudice however, and it felt uncomfortable to have these negative feelings. I knew that I was fearly of the unknown and that fear was caused by ignorance. I decided to find out more about Islam but was never told anything accurate. This made me more curious - 'how come no one knows anything about this religion?' I thought.
So I set about finding more and one question led to another.
A bit later on I ceased to be a Catholic. This had nothing to do with Islam but was due to the rule of Papal Infallibility. I could not accept that this rule which is so central had come about because of the unification of Italy. I also had problems with the notion of Original Sin and its implications for the Crucifiction.
I did not become a Muslim though - did not want to become one. It seems so much hassle.
So I continued my life - neither a Muslim nor as a Christian. Rather I just tried to submit to God. There was something though that kept me pulling towards Islam. It kept answering my questions - a simple belief in One God, the position of Christ - born of a Virgin through the power of God, but not because of his Divinity. Also, the Qur'an unchanged.
The final thing which made me accept Islam was seeing someone pray. As they went down into prostration - I thought that "this is submission". And sumitting to God was what I wanted.
It was hard in the beginning. I have always tested my faith. But ultimately Islam makes no gratuitous demands on my logic. It appeals to my logic as well as my heart. And I have never not found an answer to a question.

MINOR SHIRK

LETTER NO.9

Alhamdulillah, we have completed the topic of Waseelah. Now we have an idea about Shirk also. InshaALLAH, in this letter we will know some types of Shirk. Shirk is divided into 2 types, Major Shirk and Minor Shirk.
Out of the two, if a person does the Major Shirk then he will be out of the fold of ISLAM, and will enter Hell forever and will not be taken out. And if a person if he does Minor Shirk then he will go to Hell and will be there till ALLAH pleases, and this typo of Shirk is a Major sin. And not to repent from Minor Shirk might make it Major Shirk.
We know what is Major Shirk, as was mentioned in the previous letters, here I want you to know about Minor Shirk as a lot of us don’t know about it and we just believe that going to a grave is Shirk or asking a dead for help is Shirk, but we never thought that sometimes unknowingly we might do an act which is Shirk.
MINOR SHIRK: Some types of Minor Shirk are as follows:
1. Showing off:
Mahmood bin Lubaid(raa) reprts that the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) warned us: “Of the things which I am afraid of concerning you is Minor Shirk(Polytheism). The companions asked: O Messenger of ALLAH(saws)! What is Minor Shirk(Polytheism)? The Messenger of ALLAH(saws) stated: Showing off.” (Saheeh- Ahmad)

The example of Showing off is given in the hadeeth given below,
Abu Sayeed(raa) relates that the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) visited us. At that time we were discussing ‘Anti-Christ’(Maseeh Dajjal). The Messenger of ALLAH(saws) stated:
“Should I not inform you about a matter which I fear about you more than Anti-Christ? We said: Why not! O Messenger of ALLAH(saws) (Please inform us).
The Messenger of ALLAH(saws) said: That is concealed Shirk(Polytheism). For instance a person stands up to pray and feeling that some one is watching him prolongs his prayer.”(Hasan-Ibn Maaja)

2. Swearing by other than ALLAH:
Umar bin al-Khattab(raa) reports that the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) stated: “Whoever swears by a creature has commited Kufr(Heathenism) or commited Shirk(Polytheism).” (Saheeh-Tirmidhi)

3. To tie an Amulet(Tawees)(charm, thread or bead) on the neck or hand, wear a Ring, Bracelet, Chain to safe-guard from evil eye or any illness:
Uqba bin Aamir Al-Juhani(raa) reports that a group of people called on the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) to embrace ISLAM. The Messenger of ALLAH(saws) took the oath of fealty of nine people and withdrew his hand from taking the oath of fealty of the tenth. The group of people said: O Messenger of ALLAH(saws)! You took the oath of fealty of nine person and not of the tenth.
He(saws) stated: “He is hanging an amulet(charm, thread or bead) around his neck.
Consequently, the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) stretched his hand and cut the hanging amulet and then took the oath of the fealty, and said : “Whoever hangs a charm commits Shirk(Polytheism).” (Saheeh-Ahmad)

Abdullah bin Mas’ood reports that he heard the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) saying: “Incantation, amulet or charm are acts of Shirk(Polytheism).” (Saheeh-Abu Dawood)

We have so many Muslims who wear these charms and threads around their neck and don’t even bother that it is Shirk. When we ask them to take it out they say it was given by some saint for protection. Moreover the charms have Qur’anic verses written, and people use them for treatment.
I say when you go to a doctor for treatment he gives you some tablets to eat and if you instead of eating it tie those tablets round your neck, will you get treated?
The same is with Qur’an, first it was revealed for our guidance, and even if we do some treatment with it then it is by reading it (that too the way of sunnah) and not just hanging on our necks.

Abu Basheer Ansari(raa) reports he was accompanying the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) in a journey. He(saws) sent a messenger. Abdullah bin Abu Bakr(raa) states: “I think people were then asleep.”
He(saws) commanded: “See that no camel has any charm or any thread of incantation around its neck, and if so, it should be cut immediately.”                         (Saheeh Muslim)
When it is not allowed to tie something on an animal the how can it be allowed for us?

4. Influenced by ill-omen:
Fuzala bin Ubaid Ansari(raa) companion of the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) states:
“Whoever has stopped work because of ill-omen has commited Shirk(Polytheism).” (Saheeh-Ibn Wahab in his Jaame)
5. Abandonment(Leaving off) of Prayer:
Jabir (raa) reports: I heard the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) stating:
“Abandonment of Prayer(Salaah) is the criterion between a servant and Shirk(Polytheism) or Kufr(Heathenism).” (Saheeh Muslim)

6. To go to Fortune teller:
Safia(raa) reports from one of the consorts of Purity (wives of Prophet(saws)) that the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) stated : “Anyone who approaches a fortune teller to find out about future, his worship of 40 days is not acceptable to ALLAH.” (Saheeh Muslim)

7. Influence of stars:
Abu Huraira(raa) reports that the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) stated:
“Some people denied in the morning that ALLAH sent down rain; although it is ALLAH alone who sends down rain. But those who deny say: It rained because of the influence of such and such a star.” (Saheeh Muslim)

These were some of the types of Minor Shirk which we all must be aware of.
May ALLAH save us from Major and Minor Shirk, which we commit knowingly or unknowingly and forgive us and guide us, aameen.

LAWFUL WASEELAH

LETTER NO.8

The last letter was about the Unlawful Waseelah. Now we have to know about the Lawful Waseelah, in the light of Qur’an and Hadeeth and the way of Sahaba (companions of the Prophet (saws)).
LAWFUL WASEELAH:  The types of Waseelah which are Lawful are 3. The 3 types are:-
1. To ask ALLAH by HIS Names and Attributes:
While making dua we can ask ALLAH by using HIS names like Rahman, Kareem, Ghafoor, Razzaq, Raheem and other names.
Once a Sahabi (companion of the Prophet (saws)) prayed to ALLAH: ‘O ALLAH! I request you by means that I testify that indeed you are ALLAH. There is no true deity but YOU. YOU are Alone, Independent, You begot none, nor were You were begotten. None is equal to You.’
The Prophet (saws) heard it and said: ‘I swear to ALLAH in whose Hands is my life, he soght to approach ALLAH by HIS Supreme name. The one who seeks to approach ALLAH in this manner, ALLAH will respond to his prayer and will certainly give him whatever he asks for.’(at-Tirmidhi)
The Prophet(saws) before his supplications used to remember ALLAH by HIS Beautiful Names and Exalted Attributes. He(saws) used to say: ‘I ask YOU by the means of all YOUR Names.’ (at-Tirmidhi)

Also He(saws) used to say: ‘O the Ever Living, the One who sustains and protects all that exists. I implore your help by the way of your mercy.’ (at-Tirmidhi)

The Qur’an also gives us the proof of asking ALLAH taking HIS names by showing us the prayers of other Prophets and other prayers. The prayers in which ALLAH’s names and attributes are taken as means are given below:
“My LORD! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young.” (surah-17, verse-24)
Zakariyya cried to his LORD:
“My LORD! Leave me not single(childless), though YOU are the Best of inheritors.” (surah-21, verse-89)

2. To ask ALLAH by mentioning our good deeds which we had done for ALLAH
    Alone:
We can also make our good deeds the means to approach ALLAH in our prayers.
“Once three men took refuge in a cave. The mouth of the cave got blocked by a rolling rock so that there was no way out. They recalled their good deeds in their prayers. One of them recalled that he had a kind attitude towards his parents; the other was generous to the labourers; and the third one kept himself away from adultery although he had all the means to commit it. So they prayed to ALLAH that they performed those deeds in order to seek the pleasure of ALLAH and pleaded ALLAH to set them free. So ALLAH set them free.” (Bukhari, Muslim)

3. Asking a believing Pious person (who is alive) to make Dua for us:
While the Prophet (saws) was alive all the companions asked him to make dua.
After the Prophet’s(saws) death, whenever drought threatened the people, ‘Umar bin al-Khattab(raa) used to ask Al-Abbas(raa) (Prophet’s[saws]) to invoke ALLAH for rain. He used to say, ‘O ALLAH! We used to ask our Prophet (saws) to invoke ALLAH for rain and You would bless us with rain, and now we ask his uncle to invoke You for rain. O ALLAH! Bless us with rain.’ And so it would rain. (Bukhari)
Umar(raa) narrates that he asked the permission of the Prophet(saws) to perform Umrah and he(saws) gave permission and said,
‘O brother do not forget me in your prayers.’ (Abu Dawood)
By this way we can ask other good people to make dua, but they must be alive.

Let us know what ALLAH says about intercession in the Holy Qur’an:
“….who is he that can intercede with HIM(ALLAH) except with HIS(ALLAH) permission.” (aayat al-kursi, surah-2, verse-255)
“….and they cannot intercede except for him with whom HE (ALLAH) is pleased. And they stand in awe for fear of HIM(ALLAH).” (surah-21, verse-28)
“And there are many angels in the heavens, whose intercession will avail nothing except after ALLAH has given leave for whom HE(ALLAH) has given leave for whom HE(ALLAH) wills and pleases.” (surah-53, verse-26)
“Say: To ALLAH belongs all intercession….” (surah-39, verse-44)
No one shall deserve the intercession except by ALLAH’s Permission. And HE, the All-Mighty, will permit for intercession to persons who only believe in the Oneness of ALLAH.
ALLAH says:
“So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them.” (surah-74, verse-48)

Thus, it is clear that even in the Hereafter only ALLAH will permit to intercede. And we must know that it was allowed to ask Prophet(saws) to make dua till the time he(saws) was alive, but after his(saws) death we cannot ask Prophet(saws) or take his(saws) Waseelah.

This is clear after we read the hadeeth, that Umar (raa) didn’t turn to the grave of Prophet(saws) for rain, instead asked Abbas(raa) who was alive, to make dua. And many Sahaba(companions of Prophet(saws)) were present at that time and if it was allowed to take the Waseelah of Prophet(saws) then atleast one sahabi(companion) would have asked Umar(raa) to do so. But no one did it, because they knew that it was not allowed to take the Waseelah of Prophet (saws) after his(saws) death.
Apart from the types of Waseelah given any other type of Waseelah is Haraam.

O my Brothers and Sisters! Do we know more than the Sahaba, who were the direct students of the Messenger of ALLAH(saws)?

Let us know what our Prophet Muhammad (saws) has said regarding this.
Abu Huraira (raa) reports that when the following verse was revealed to the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) : “O Muhammad(saws) Warn your relatives about (the Day of Judgement); The Messenger of ALLAH(saws) stoop up and declared: O People of Quraish! Or something to that effect! Save yourselves! (On the Day of Judgement); Before ALLAH I shall not be able to come to your rescue. O sons of Abd Manaf! (On the Day of Judgement) before ALLAH I shall not be able to help you. O Abbas(raa) son of Abdul Muttalib! I shall not be of any help to you before ALLAH. O Safia! (Aunt of the Messenger of ALLAH(saws)), before ALLAH, I shall not be of any help to you. O Fatima(raa)! (Daughter of the Messenger of ALLAH(saws) ask for anything in the world from what I possess, (but on the Day of Judgement) I shall not be of any help to you before ALLAH.(Saheeh al-Bukhari)

Now you can look it yourself that the Prophet (saws) has clearly said that he(saws) could not even help his relatives, uncle, aunt and even daughter. He(saws) will intercede with the permission of ALLAH. Moreover it is to be noted that after the death of Prophet(saws) we cannot hope for his help. But his intercession is their for those believing men who were away from Shirk and that too it will be with the permission of ALLAH.

O My Brothers and Sisters! I ask you all to be free from any sort of misgivings about Islam which our forefathers might have been a victim of. Alhamdulillah we are very lucky to get the correct teachings of ISLAM, and I pray to my Rabb to save all of us from misguidance. O ALLAH make us true muslims and give us true understanding of  ISLAM the way the Sahaba did and practiced, aameen.
